WooCommerce design & developmentA shop inside your WordPress site.
WooCommerce turns a WordPress site into a shop, which makes it the right choice when selling is one part of what you do: a venue taking deposits, a maker selling a few products alongside a portfolio, or a business that needs a checkout to do something unusual. We build it, connect it and keep it fast.
"We need a deposit, not a full payment, and nothing does it."
"Our old orders are stuck in another platform."
What we do with WooCommerce.
Pick the cards you need, or let us deal you the right hand. Everything's explained in plain English.
Shop design
Product, category, basket and checkout pages that match the rest of your site and make buying simple.
Custom checkouts
Deposits, bookings, room choices, invoiced balances: the flows Shopify's model doesn't allow.
Performance
WooCommerce is heavy if you let it be. We keep the stack lean and host it on servers tuned for it.
Imports and migrations
Products, customers and past orders brought in from Squarespace, Shopify or spreadsheets.
Payments and shipping
Stripe, PayPal and card payments, UK shipping rules and VAT set up correctly.
Tracking
GA4 ecommerce events and ad conversion tracking, so every sale is traced to its source.
When WooCommerce is the right call.
If your whole business is a shop, we'll usually point you at Shopify. WooCommerce earns its place when the shop has to live inside a richer website, or when the checkout needs to do something custom.
Court House Farm is a good example: a retreat venue whose site is mostly stories, rooms and events, with WooCommerce quietly taking a £500 deposit for each retreat and the balance invoiced later. We also imported their past Squarespace orders so their customer history came with them.
The trade-off is maintenance. WooCommerce sites need updating carefully and hosting properly, which is why most of ours sit on our managed hosting.
Client example · Court House Farm£500deposits taken online
Court House Farm's retreats are set up as content with a WooCommerce product behind each one, so guests pay the deposit online and the rest is invoiced once the retreat is confirmed. Past orders and customers were imported from Squarespace, and the mailing list moved to Brevo at the same time.
WordPress, WooCommerce and Brevo, moved from Squarespace in October 2026.

WooCommerce or Shopify?
WooCommerce when the shop is part of a bigger WordPress site or needs a custom checkout; Shopify when selling is the main job. We build on both. Our Shopify page covers the other side.
Can WooCommerce take deposits or bookings?
Yes, with the right setup. We've built deposit-and-invoice flows for a retreat venue and can connect booking plugins or systems where needed.
Can you import our old orders and customers?
Usually, yes. We've imported from Squarespace, Shopify and spreadsheets. It's worth doing: your repeat customers keep their history and your email list comes with it.
Does WooCommerce slow WordPress down?
It can, if it's thrown onto cheap hosting with a heavy theme. Built lean and hosted properly it's fast. Speed is checked in PageSpeed before launch.
How much does a WooCommerce shop cost?
A fixed quote based on the number of products, the design and any custom flows or imports. You'll have it in writing before work starts, and WooCommerce itself is free.
Is there a minimum term?
No. Builds are a fixed quote; hosting and care are monthly rolling.
