Website performance, hosting & careYour website, but fast. And looked after.

Most slow websites aren't badly built; they're badly hosted and never maintained. We move WordPress and WooCommerce sites onto our managed hosting, strip out what isn't needed, fix the caching and keep everything updated by hand. Managed hosting is £30 a month, with daily backups and no tie-in.

  • Manual updates
  • SiteGround servers
  • Speed fixes
  • No tie-in

Be honest…

Sound familiar?

  • "Our site takes ages to load on a phone."
  • "A plugin updated itself and broke the site."
  • "Nobody's touched it since the developer disappeared."

What's in managed hosting and care.

Pick the cards you need, or let us deal you the right hand. Everything's explained in plain English.

  • Fast managed hosting

SiteGround servers with server-level caching, a content delivery network and free SSL, set up and tuned for your site. £30 a month.

  • Manual updates

WordPress, theme and plugin updates done by hand on a schedule, checked afterwards, so an automatic update can't take your site down overnight.

  • Daily backups

A full copy of your site and database every day, so anything can be rolled back.

  • Speed optimisation

Plugins you don't need removed, images compressed, scripts trimmed, caching configured. Checked in PageSpeed before and after.

  • Security

Firewall, malware scanning, login protection and security headers. The quiet stuff that stops the 3am phone call.

  • Changes when you need them

New pages, price list updates, a new team photo: ask and it's done, on an hourly basis or a monthly allowance.

Why speed is a marketing problem, not an IT one.

Google has used page speed as a ranking signal for years, and its Core Web Vitals measure how a page feels to a real visitor on a real phone. A site that takes five seconds to load ranks below one that takes one second, and loses more of the visitors it does get: most people give up after about three seconds.

Hosting is usually the biggest single cause. Cheap shared hosting sold on price puts hundreds of sites on one slow server. Add a theme with forty plugins and no caching and you've got a site that looks fine and quietly costs you enquiries every day.

Our approach is boring on purpose: good servers, fewer moving parts, updates done by a person, backups every day. Then we measure it, because "feels faster" isn't a result.

Our hosting checklist

  • Site moved with no downtime and all redirects kept
  • Server caching, CDN and SSL configured
  • Unused plugins and themes removed
  • Images converted and compressed
  • Core Web Vitals checked in PageSpeed, before and after
  • GA4 and Search Console checked still working
  • Daily backups and update schedule switched on

Done for every site we take on, whether we built it or not.

A WordPress site that was slow to the point of being painful, with a stack of technical issues from years of plugins piling up. We moved it onto our managed hosting, sorted the caching, stripped out everything that wasn't needed and optimised what was left. It now loads almost instantly on a phone, and its visibility in Google picked up soon after, without any other SEO work.

Hosting at £30 a month. We didn't build this site, which is the point: we'll look after one we didn't build.

How much does website hosting cost?

Managed hosting is £30 a month for a typical WordPress or WooCommerce site, including daily backups, SSL, caching, security and manual updates. Very large shops or sites with heavy traffic may need a bigger server, and we'll say so up front. The move itself is quoted separately as a one-off, depending on the size of the site.

Can you host a website you didn't build?

Yes, and most of the sites we host started that way. We'll check it over first and be honest about anything that needs fixing before or after the move.

Will my website go down during the move?

No. We copy the site, test it on a hidden address, then point your domain at the new server. Visitors don't notice. Email isn't affected unless you ask us to move that too.

Why manual updates rather than automatic?

Automatic updates are how most WordPress sites break: a plugin updates at 2am, conflicts with the theme and the site goes white. We update on a schedule, check the site afterwards and roll back if anything's off.

Do I own my website and domain?

Always. Your domain stays in your name, and if you ever leave we hand over a full copy of the site. Hosting is monthly rolling with no tie-in.

Can you make changes to the site for us?

Yes. Ad hoc changes are billed by the hour, or you can add a monthly allowance for regular updates like price lists, new pages and photos. Most small changes are done the same day.

Will faster hosting improve my SEO?

Speed is one of Google's ranking signals and a big factor in whether visitors stay, so it usually helps, sometimes noticeably. It isn't a substitute for SEO work, and we won't pretend it is. Our free speed guide explains what to check yourself.
