Where do I find…?
What size does my website need?

Most full-width banners look sharp at 1920px wide; images within a page rarely need more than 1200px. Product photos are usually 1000–1500px. If your website builder recommends a size, use that.

Can my website use WebP?

Most modern website platforms, including WordPress (since version 5.8) and Shopify, accept WebP. If yours doesn't, choose JPEG instead.

Format
WebP works on almost every website now. Can my website use WebP?
70–85 is the sweet spot for photos. Check with "Compare".
Describe what's in the photo; it helps Google. Leave blank to tidy the original names.

Remember to add alt text when you upload: a short description of the image for people using screen readers (and for Google). You can type it next to each image and it'll be saved in the ZIP as alt-text.txt.

    Questions, answered.

    Are my photos uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens in your browser, and the files never leave your device.

    Does it remove location data?

Yes. Re-saving the image drops hidden details like the GPS location your phone may have added.

Why do some photos look sideways?

The tool follows your camera's rotation info, so they should come out the right way up. If one doesn't, rotate it on your computer first.
